I'M CHANTAL
I am the founder and Master Artist behind Beauty as Desired,
a San Diego based hair and makeup company specializing in bridal beauty, special events, and makeup education. With over 20 years in the industry, my passion is helping people feel confident and radiant for life’s most meaningful moments.
I began my career in New York City in my early twenties, working backstage at New York Fashion Week and building my artistry with top brands like Estée Lauder, Tom Ford, and MAC Cosmetics. Throughout the years, I discovered a deep love for education. Training and mentoring aspiring artists became just as fulfilling as working with clients. Guiding others to grow in their craft has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
Since moving to San Diego in 2015, I’ve dedicated myself to creating elevated, personalized beauty experiences through Beauty as Desired. Whether I’m designing a look for a special occasion or teaching the next generation of artists, my goal is always to help others feel seen, celebrated, and their absolute best.

Senior Hairstylist
Misty is our luxury hair stylist. She has a decade of expertise in all styles and aspects of hair. From natural curls, waves and bone straight. She believes your crown is important and will create any style that you can wear with pride. After many years of searching for her true calling in the hair industry, She has decided to make personalized hair care her primary focus . Bringing joy and beauty in your home allows her fulfillment in doing something she loves.

Junior Artist
Sarah is our passionate Soft Glam focus makeup artist. She has been dedicated to her craft since 2015. She began her career freelancing for weddings and events and further honed her skills with MAC Cosmetics under the management of Chantal. Now as a BeautyAsDesired artist, she focuses on enhancing natural beauty and creating sophisticated looks, empowering her clients to feel their best.
